Starting a website is the most important time but also the hardest. In a later article I will talk more about the actual making of a website but for this article it is more the idea and creation.

In my opinion three are two types of website, firstly, a website about a love, hobby, or just something that interests you. These are websites where you want to share information and do not think about the money side. Later we will be discussing how to turn these websites into money making ventures, however, this article will focus on the second type. The second type of website is a ‘to make money website’, only made in an attempt to make money online.

Once you have decide which type of category you fit into you start focusing on the niche of the website, what it will be about. I tend to choose websites that either interest me, something that I would want to visit or something I understand. Not everyone will do this, however, I find it helps to make decisions and further content.

There are hundreds and thousands of different websites all on anything you could think of. It is unlikely that you will be creating a new niche, unless it might be on mutant dogs who only eat metal and hunt rabbits. Even though, if you googled that I am sure google will find a site not too far off.
