“How to search the internet” seem to be an absurd topict to be discussed here, but do you really know the proper ways on how to search the internet?

First of all, try to type in the search box an specific topic you want to search , You are now facing thousands if not million search result on the topic.  Obviously, this is not proper way on how to search the internet.  From that million search results, I am sure most of the links there contain the topic you are searching for.

Now, try to click one or two of the links that catches your attention so as to see if the link really contains the topic you are looking for.  Do have what it takes, absolutely not, because the one you clicked is just one of the websites which uses the keyword or the phrase you typed in the search box.

Now, try to type again the same keywords you just type a while ago, but this time put a quotation marks and click search/go.  This time you will be promted with lesser search results, but still if your topic is too broad, again, you’ll be faced with million search results. So what now?

Well, keep on searching. Make the single word you are searching into a phrase.  You know, internet savvy are now using phrases and this will give more specific results, unless of course if the phrase is too broad.

If you still can’t find that specif topic you are searching, this time you need to go to other websites which contain also multiple topics.  These are the social bookmarking sites and to name some, you can try digg.com, stumbleupon, netscape and others.  Use the basic tool (quotation marks) in searching to produce specific results.

Use the internet technology wisely, this not a source of information alone but also there are unscrupulous individual lurking for victims.  Watch them out too.
