My Share on “The Debate on Net Neutrality”
For two years of blogging the net about seo files, it comes also to my mind about the growing number of internet users. Most of my students and some of co-teachers have their friendster account already. Some of them turned their accounts to private and others on public.
Though it is not mention about about social sites in the debate, I think, these accounts have also their own space in the which also occupy in the worldwide web, just like internet games and other websites receiving huge traffics.
It is not that I am fond nor dislike Google, Yahoo and MSN, (include Alexa) but I agree on giving them additional charges. After all traffic is the life line of a website and these Giants are accumulating huge traffic. The only problem here is that, for sure, no one will agree for his her income to be cut in connection to just this issue. Google in particular has it own community service where they provide public service ads which appears most of the time on adsense blogs.
The same with Yahoo’s “yahoo publisher network.” Though it is not yet worldwide, for sure, soon, they will expand this program not only to compete with google but to expand and gain more from it. But he mere fact that there are different advertisement already pasted on yahoo, They should be charged additional amount too.
I just hope that when this happen, they will pass on the additional charges to their subscribers.
The virtual community is getting broader everyday and this makes it more complicated when comes to regulating the some of the terms. The “free market” as being told all the time needs to be regulated for a more favorable environment for all of us. The fact that people are becoming more dependent on the internet, as an ordinary blogger, I prefer all the things online to be regulated.
After all, we behave as humans because we are bounded by rules and regulations.
