In my view there are 3 types of domains. Long and boring, short and random, or straight to the point. The best way to explain this is by examples, for this sake let’s take a proxy.

Long and boring : scoobydooproxy.com

Short and random : ys4.info

Straight to the point : onlineproxy.co.uk

So what is the best? This has got to be the hardest question when thinking of a domain; you have to remember the domain point (in my view) is the most important part of a website. The domain sets the scene for the website and is the only part of the website they have to remember to visit it again. This is where a short domain can help, it is not hard to remember something like pixi.info however yx2.info may be less memorable. Long and boring, probably the hardest of the 3 to remember but can help with SEO, to take an example if your domain is freeonlineproxy.com when a user types in google ‘free online proxy’ the most likely domain to be in the top spot is yours. Straight to the point could be the easiest to remember, onlineproxy.co.uk it is exactly what it is.

So, if a straight to the point domain is the easiest to remember why not always use them? In my view, most of the time you should use them however there are examples when you shouldn’t. My example would be a free host, if a free host needs username.yourdomain.com, and your domain is freehostingcompany.com their domain with be username.freehostingcompany.com it gets very long however they are more likely to want something like username.ys4.info.

If this article has left you thinking, ‘well you have said each one is good so I am no more clued up on domains’ I would say this, it depends on the site. I know that doesn’t help but think about firstly, your users, and secondly what your site is. Is your site a one visit website then they do not need to come back, is it something they need to remember, or are you more looking for google traffic? If it is a free host use what the user would prefer, if it is an online shop use something memorable, something the user would think of when they want to go shopping. If it is a wallpaper website which you rely on search engines use the exact keywords in the domain.

Pound VS Dollar - £ VS $

As you can see from that graph the amount of dollars per pound has dropped dramatically. So what? Many people may just be thinking so what? You do not travel to America or buy imports etc so why does it bother you? Well firstly if you have not already guessed I am from England so I deal in pounds however the internet today is centred on dollars. So this means that it makes sense for me to trade in dollars else my market will decrease.

In theory I am going over to America buying and selling and then returning every day. Why is a website any different that a toy or a piece of fruit? The point is that many of my purchases simply now costs me more. About 8-9 months ago my server was costing me £85/month however in the new exchange rates it is costing me £120, this is £35 extra!

This does not really affect everyone in America however it is crippling for us over here. I have seen many businesses simply close because they cannot afford the exchange rate and it makes sense, somewhere along the line I have to make that £35 extra from nothing. That is where problems begin, how do you make £35 extra from the same things? The basic answer is you can’t without money, okay I know there are free things out there, but to make good money you need to invest a moderate sum.

How is the exchange rate a good thing?

The exchange rate is not all bad; it makes sense that if things are costing me more than the things I sell are making more. This is what has kept me alive, the majority of my products are selling well now and all my products are in dollars. Take Pardiowars for example one sale used to get me £35 but it now gets me £48 with no effect on the buyer. This means as long as I continue making profits I can benefit.

How to take advantage of the exchange rate?

This next section is aimed mainly at people from England however works for anyone with a different currency. Stick to one currency, this can be pounds, it can be dollars, it can be euros but stick to one. Buy everything in that currency and sell everything in that currency. If you start switching between the two you will start seeing a dramatic drop in profits.

How I do it is to keep $200 odd in paypal. This is normally enough to pay for things when I need it, try to always have enough dollars in papyal to stop it needing to extract money from your bank. If you do get over $200 and want to withdraw why not look into other options? How far away is your next hosting bill? The majority of hosting providers will let you pay in advance, take advantage of this instead of paying the exchange rate twice.

If you are selling in dollars make sure you are buying in dollars, the majority of online companies will accept dollars so look out for this.

I thought I should introduce myself, my name is Alex and I am a website developer. I am new to blogging so bare with me. I mainly work currently in script development and marketing, I run a successful RPG script, Pardiowars which is the engine behind many great RPGs out there. We recently developed a new script, SMFMulti, which allows you to run your own smf forum hosting website.

Forums sites are best websites where you can get variety of information about anything you want through the internet.  There are forum sites which discusses specifically for women/men fashion, online games, cancer, diabetes and so on.  Who ever you are, whatever topics you want to grip with, or any online info you want clarifications, there is always a forum site especially created for you.  But the forum websites where I always visit are the DigitalPoint Forum and SitePoint Forum.

This two forum sites attracts me most.  It is not only both sites have good features, almost all the information I am looking for for my online grip are all here.  From promoting a website, techniques on different aspects of mix advertising, internet business advertising, file search engine, learn search engine optimization, free source of website where you can link your sites and more.

The best feature of these forum site is that I am able to post my website on sale or offer my services to the members too.  Well, since this is a forum, expect the unexpected.  Every member has the option to post whatever they think in your thread.  You might receive favorable and unfavorable comments about your online claims.

The big difference of the two lies on the “Marketplace” thread.  DigitalPoing offers free marketplace while SitePoint offer paid marketplace.  Though both might forum are attracting scammers, DP is more attracted to scammers because of its free services, while the SP is not because the poster should atleast pay for what he she tries to offer.

Selling a website in SP requires the seller to verify the website on sale.  Most of the buyers also ask for your contact number.  Scammers don’t want to be known and so, they refrain posting on SP.  In fact, you can see  members in DP shouting that had been scammed by another DP member.  I am not trying degrade DP here or anyone else.  I am sure, the DP admin are working for something to minimize if not totally illminate scammers in their forum.

I like both forums and I am highly recommending them to all internet users.  Both are best on their own ways of gripping the online community.

If you are planning to work abroad and you are using the internet in your search for available jobs or you are applying through the internet, you need to be careful before sending an application or your résumé especially if post offer instruction online on what to do.  This is actually one the business of some websites with posts offering job vacancies abroad.

There are lots of this type of website.  You will this type of site if upon clicking to link of your intereste, you will be prompted with two 480 x 60 Google adsense ads.  There are no other options available that the ads.  Obviously this type of websites are created mainly for adsense and not for job hunting.

There are also other job site that there real jobs posted in the pages with instruction about the requirements, projected salary, job description and so on.  Surely your attention will focus on an email address stating that you send an application letter through that email address.

Of course, those websites have been marketed and advertise for such opportunity and this is one of their income stream.  I am not saying that the website is not authentic, but the person offering the job himself.  O fcourse, the website owner will accept all types of advertisement as long as the client posting the job oppotunity will pay the price.

Unless, of course, if in the post there is a website of the job poster than you are requested to click to.  But if it is only an email address then I think you need to refrain from the instruction.  You need search further first.  Let say, for example, you are applying for in China and the email address is not coming for China, instead, it is coming from other country (eg, France) will most likely not an authentic job and it might be a scam.

I have a job offering website which I think is authentic because they have their own company, their website and they really are hiring people from allover the world.  The Saudi Aramco Job Oppotunities is just one of the authentic website offering jop opportunities abroad.

Some are Google adsense in the US assumed their adsense earnings went down through the election period.  Of course, there are other factors to be considered.  US has been facing econimic downfall on the past few months now and this might be the reason also for advertisers to cut down their advertisng expenses.

Which is which, google adsense earners are the one affected, not only people in the United States but also to all the people worldwide who utilized adsense on their websites and blogs.  In adition, since people all over the world are becoming aware of what is hapening in the US, most of them might have search for political realted websites and not to the usual sites which your adsense is getting high CTR.

The niche is also one of the factors to be considered.  Your website or blog might have that low rate which shows only $1 dollar for 10 clicks or you nothing is earned in a 2 click.  if this the case, this means you niche is a low earning niche.

Though there indictions that google adsense might be sufferng for something, this is one the best income stream for google and thus, they will not make any untoward changes with their advertisers.  It is more safe to think that companies just cut down some of their advertising exenses.

Now that the election is through, let us see, if there are changes in the ctr and if the advertising expenses was cut tremendously.

It is good to know the score of US Presidtiables as shown in the survey posted on yahoo.  As mentioned on diffenrent news, this election will create another history to the United States.

The US has played a vital role in the world from politics to economics and they even conquered the internet community as both presidentiables created their websites designed mainly for their campaign.  Both websites really applied all the necessary effects to make it more appealing to their constituents.

The judgment is almost done and hopefully people of the United state will vote right best candidates.  The voting should not mainly focus on kinship which is one of the issues being aired recently.

Not only in the US, but when it comes to choosing a leader, the voting public should vote base on the capacity and reputation of the candidate in not just because of kinship.

Due to my busy schedule in the outside world, I forgot to check my account in the ezinearticles.com which is one the most undefeated articles sites in worldwide web and their staff has made another changes which I think is another step that will make them different from other articles sites.
